Arumeru River Lodge

Nestled in a tropical park famous for its botanical specimens, you can watch small dikdik antelopes roaming freely between the garden chalets. The Lounge furniture is made of valuable dhow wood – remnants of old sailing boats that had been used by fishermen in Zanzibar until they were taken out of order.

Luxury Kitela Lodge

Kitela Lodge rises up on the hillside of a valley with beautiful views of a coffee plantation and a waterfall within the incredible highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It consists of 20 colonial-style cottages surrounded by beautiful gardens, a coffee plantation and a working farm.

TRIP ITINERARY

Arrival

Fly into the city of Dar Es Salaam, the largest city in Eastern Africa. You will be chauffeured from the airport to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Spend time carousing the local shops and restaurants or relax at your luxury hotel in preparation for the days to come.

Dar-Selous Game Reserve

Catch an early morning flight deep into Africa’s largest game reserve. Take in the breathtaking aerial views of the wildlife roaming the savannah below. Upon arrival you will be driven to the Sand Rivers Camp. Relax on the verandahs of their open-fronted rooms, or cool off in the pool, surrounded by Kingfishers and Bee Eaters, listening to the grunts of hippos on the river.

Selous Game Reserve

Wake up early morning and meet your guides who will take you on a morning game drive into pristine areas far from other visitors. Selous is heralded as one of Africa’s most remote game reserves. The park contains over 70,000 elephants and about 4,000 lions, just to name a few. Head back to the Sand Rivers Camp for a night of authentic food and drinks.

Ngorongoro-Olduvai gorge

Travel from Ngorongoro to the Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites on Earth. Half way along this stretch, a Maasai show village may be visited which permits photography and sees how Maasai live in this area. After checking in to the Lemala Camp visit the museum at Olduvai, for an excellent photographic history of the research carried out in the Gorge. Head back to camp and enjoy the large and well-furnished suite, comfortable lounges and fine food and wine, Lemala offers a superior level of style in intimate isolation.

Serengeti national Park

Set off early on a morning game drive or choose to fly over the Serengeti in a hot air balloon viewing the wildlife from a bird’s eye view. Take along a prepacked lunch for a picnic in the bush then head off to other areas of the Serengeti in search of large cats and herds of elephant. Finish your day back at Lemala enjoying an authentic Swahili buffet.

Serengeti-Arusha Airport

Fly to Arusha for lunch at Arusha coffee lodge then explore the plantation after if you wish. If times allows visit Mount Meru village, the town Ombeni was born, then Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home. Asante
