TRIP ITINERARY

After breakfast take to the skies over Tanzania’s wilderness en-route to Arusha. You will be met by a guide that will shuttle you through the Tarangire National Park to Oliver’s Camp. Oliver’s was inspired by the trailblazing camps that pioneered the early days of safari. It gives you direct access to the dense concentration of wildlife you will find year-round in this remote region, as well as the chance to enjoy walking safaris and fly camping.

Enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its large herds of buffalo, as well as tree-climbing lions. This is one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the go to list of all wilderness lovers. Spend your afternoon cruising the Tarangire river viewing the wildlife along the shore. Return to Oliver’s Camp for dinner and cocktails and get ready for your next adventure.

Wake up early morning and meet your guides who will take you on a morning game drive into pristine areas far from other visitors. Selous is heralded as one of Africa’s most remote game reserves. The park contains over 70,000 elephants and about 4,000 lions, just to name a few. Head back to the Sand Rivers Camp for a night of authentic food and drinks.

Take along a prepacked lunch for a picnic in the bush then head off to other areas of the Serengeti in search of large cats and herds of elephant. Finish your day back at Lemala enjoying an authentic Swahili buffet. 

A day of exploring wildlife around Serengeti National Park which is the ideal location for marveling at the annual migration of large herds of animals. The Serengeti’s endless plains provide an exceptional landscape for wildlife viewing over The Road Less Traveled Safari, it truly is the ultimate safari country. Often spotted in the Serengeti are elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, leopards and more. Retreat back to Lemala and sip on a drink while watching the sunset.

Where there is prey there are predators. Observe large cats eyeing up their prey in hopes of feeding their young cubs. In the evening, head back to Lemala and gather outside around the campfire under starlit skies for sunset cocktails to share your safari stories.
